Are you thinking of starting an email newsletter but not sure how to attract subscribers? Or maybe you already have a regular newsletter but want more people to read it? In this blog, I share some easy ways to get the attention of more people and get more sign ups. 1. Create a sign up form
Before you can think about getting the sign ups, you need to ensure that you have a process in place to collect email addresses. This could be a Mailchimp sign up link, an integrated web sign up form or a coded form you've created. The important thing is you have a sign up mechanism. 2. Put the form where people are interacting with you Once you have the sign up form, make sure you have it available in all the right places. Think:
Make a list of these places and do a mini audit to see if there are ways people can sign up to your email list in all these places. Take into account online and offline channels. Remember you can add links to business cards and literature too. TOP TIP Think about things like email signatures, event confirmation messages and other communications you send where you can add a newsletter sign up link. 3. Talk about it An important step is actually to talk about it, turn your email newsletter into a conversation. It's not just a passive interaction, you want active engagement so these people become subscribers.
