Spring clean your social media accounts

With the clocks going forward and the sunshine out, it's starting to feel much more Spring-like. Now is a great time to dust the cobwebs off your social media channels and get them set for the season ahead.
Seasonal hours
  • Do you have any seasonal hours that will affect your customers? Make sure you update your hours on your Facebook page and on Google My Business. Communicate any closures on your social media channels.
Offers & Competitions
  • Perhaps you have a Spring offer running, or a competition. Make sure you update your Offers page on Facebook and encourage interaction across all platforms.
Imagery
  • Give your Twitter profile and Facebook background a refresh by choosing a Spring themed image. Maybe it's your logo on a bed of Spring flowers, or just a seasonal image with your logo stamped on it.
Things to do
  • If you offer events, webinars or services, make sure you refresh and update your copy for these to make them sound interesting and exciting. You often find with brighter days, people are more willing to get out and do new things, so capitalise on this opportunity by promoting your events.
Branding
  • Whilst you're updating content on your social media accounts, take the opportunity to ensure you are using the same logo and brand colours on each profile. Do you have the correct website and email address? Have you used the same or similar business description for each profile?

Your social media accounts evolve as your business does so make sure you're checking in on them every few months and doing a refresh.
