Do you ever go to write your next email newsletter and draw a blank on what to say? There are many simple ways you can make writing emails easy and I'm going to share 4 things that work.
1. Regular features
Successful email marketing is all about consistency, both in terms of how often you send an email and the content inside. As well as thinking about keeping the design the same to match your brand, think about including a regular content feature. This might be something like yoga pose of the week or oil blend of the month and can often become one of the main reasons people will open your email. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just keep it relevant to your business.
2. Things to buy
If you sell products or run events for your holistic health business, your email newsletter is the place to promote these things. Not all the time but useful for seasonal produce or upcoming events. Make sure you have a clear call-to-action to direct people to what you want them to do, whether that's sign up, buy or register.
3. Interesting content
If you write a blog, post regular videos or create infographics, this is the place to let them shine. Emails are a great place to add snippets of blogs, video previews and links out to useful and relevant pieces of content for your subscribers. Again, make sure you attach a clear call-to-action, so it's easier for people to interact with. Use keywords like download, watch and read on your call-to-action buttons.
4. Be yourself
This is about connecting with your message and that of your business. Don't worry about a set format or having to tick boxes with your email. Use these ideas as inspiration, rather than a set of rules. As you experiment with different formats and content, and measure your insights, you'll soon be able to figure out what works best for your audience. Focus on your own message and write in your own style, rather than getting distracted by any "shoulds".
