5 simple ways to promote your business Facebook page

18/1/2018

With Facebook's recent announcement about prioritising friends and family content over public business content, here are 5 quick wins to help ensure your business Facebook page is still getting seen.
1. Link to your Facebook page in your email signature
Chances are, like many of us, most of your business is conducted over email. Make the most of this free marketing tool by including links to your social media profiles in your email signature.

2. Get links on your website
Your website is often the first place people will go to look for information about you and your company. As well as making sure it is updated regularly with fresh content, be sure to include links to your social media profiles too. Many content management systems, such as Weebly and Wordpress, have widgets you can add to your website for free.

3. On your business cards
If you're a small business, networking is a vital part of building up contacts and relationships which can help your business thrive. Taking along business cards to these meetings? Remember to include a note of your Facebook page on there using the Facebook logo and your business page link. You can find this by navigating to your page in Facebook and looking for the text which appears after www.facebook.com for example /extravismarketing.

4. Share your page with friends
Invite your friends and family to 'Like' your page and encourage them to set your page to 'See First' to prioritise your content in their News Feed. To do this, they just go to your page, select 'Following' then select 'See First'.

5. Make it shareable
Engaging people with your content is a surefire way to get more likes on your Page and build up a strong following. If you have real-life case studies or facts which may be relevant to your audience, share them! Give them something for nothing, perhaps a top tip on how to do something, or a special event you're putting on. Be pro-active and share these with relevant networking groups on Facebook too.
